Scout returns to Maycomb as an adult and sees her hometown and her father in a new light
Twenty-six-year-old Jean Louise Finch, known as Scout, comes home to Alabama from New York for a visit. She finds that the town and the people she loves are changing, and she is shocked by what she learns about her father, Atticus. The book was written before To Kill a Mockingbird.
Readers who loved To Kill a Mockingbird and are ready to see a harder side.
A book that divided readers, and that is best read with open expectations. It is not a sequel in the usual sense.
Lee wrote it in the mid-1950s, and it was published in July 2015, long after To Kill a Mockingbird.

Maycomb, Alabama, in the 1950s.
Written first, it is a very different view of the Finch family.
Challenging, nostalgic and sharp.
