Expatriates leave Paris for the bullfights in Pamplona

Jake Barnes is an American expatriate journalist whose war wound prevents him from having sex. He travels with friends from Paris to Pamplona, Spain, for the San Fermín festival, where they watch the running of the bulls and the bullfights. He becomes entangled in romantic rivalries and social tensions centered on Lady Brett Ashley, a twice-divorced Englishwoman. Charles Scribner's Sons published it in the United States on 22 October 1926, and Jonathan Cape published it in the UK in 1927 as Fiesta.
