Pastor Gary Chapman describes five ways partners express and experience love
by Gary Chapman
Northfield Publishing first published Gary Chapman's book in 1992. Chapman, a Baptist pastor, describes five love languages, the general ways romantic partners express and experience love: words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service and physical touch. According to Chapman, each person has one primary and one secondary love language. The book includes examples from his counseling sessions and questions to help readers identify their own and their partner's languages.
